LDA-AEZ Series

High precision vertical stages

About This Series

Zaber's LDA-AEZ Series devices are motorized stages delivering the high speed, precision, and reliability of LDA-AE linear motor stages in a package for vertical applications. A passive magnetic counterbalance compensates for payloads up to 16N, preventing unwanted motion during power loss. The counterbalance’s force can be finely adjusted in seconds with a single screw.

These stages are designed to connect directly to our X-MCC controller using a single cable. Set-up is easy with AutoDetect. Once connected, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the LDA-AE.

  1. A passive magnetic counterbalance compensates for payloads up to 16N. The counterbalance force can be finely adjusted in seconds.
  2. Panel Mount DB26 with AutoDetect allows the LDA-AEZ to be easily connected to an X-MCC Series controller and ready to use without additional user input.
  3. Servo tuning parameters can automatically be optimized for any payload mass with our free software. Parameters can be adjusted on the fly.
  4. LDA-AEZ stages are designed for extreme reliability. Zero moving cables, combined with a non-contact drive and encoder result in an exceptionally robust system.
  5. 1 nm resolution linear encoder is centrally mounted for optimal accuracy and repeatability.
  6. Ultra-smooth crossed roller bearings provide long life and excellent pitch, roll, and yaw specifications.
  7. Centrally mounted ironless linear motor provides excellent dynamic performance and is maintenance free.

Easy Set-Up

With AutoDetect, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the peripheral. Zaber's devices can share both data and power through a daisy-chain, which reduces cabling and makes set-up as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Connect the X-MCC controller to your computer.
  2. Connect the controller to the peripheral and plug in the power supply.
  3. Send instructions or automate your set-up using the Zaber Launcher.
