LRT-AEC Series

High load, high accuracy motorized linear stages with built-in linear encoders, dust covers, and optional brakes

About This Series

Zaber's LRT-AEC Series are computer-controlled, motorized linear stages designed for positioning high loads to within 20 µm accuracy. An integrated linear encoder combined with stage calibration provides high accuracy positioning over the full travel of the device. They have low pitch, roll, yaw and runout and long lifetime. Flexible dust covers keep out moderate debris. An optional power-off brake is available to enable vertical applications with backdrivable screws.

The stages are designed to connect directly to our X-MCC Series universal motor controllers, or they can be used with third party 2-phase stepper motor controllers through the panel mount DB26 connector. Set up is easy with AutoDetect. Once connected, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the LRT-AEC.

  1. Multiple LRT-AEC stages can be assembled directly in XY configuration or XYZ configuration with an AB151 angle bracket.
  2. Integrated linear encoder with 50 nm resolution and stage calibration provides full travel accuracy up to 20 µm.
  3. Lead screw and ball screw configurations.
  4. Panel Mount DB26 with AutoDetect allows the LRT-AEC to be easily connected to an X-MCC Series controller and ready to use without additional user input.
  5. Compact recirculating ball bearing design allows for high load capacity and torsional stiffness.
  6. Flexible stainless steel dust cover protects internal drive screw and bearings.
  7. Travel lengths from 100 to 1500 mm, with custom lengths available.
  8. An optional power-off brake is available for increased load capacity in vertical use of the backdriving versions of the LRT-AEC.

Easy Set-Up

With AutoDetect, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the peripheral. Zaber's devices can share both data and power through a daisy-chain, which reduces cabling and makes set-up as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Connect the X-MCC controller to your computer.
  2. Connect the controller to the peripheral and plug in the power supply.
  3. Send instructions or automate your set-up using the Zaber Launcher.
