This 82 x 82 mm insert fits into the top plate of ASR 50 x 50 mm travel XY stages. It is held in place by a spring clip on the stage allowing quick changes between different inserts. The AM142 uses two spring loaded clips to hold standard 3" x 1" (75 x 25 mm) microscope slides.
