The Challenge: Our customer required the performance and versatility of Zaber’s LSQ linear stages, but limited mounting space prevented them from fitting a standard unit with the necessary travel.
The Solution: Zaber’s Custom Engineering team developed a solution that reduced the length of the LSQ by repositioning the motor to be beside the motion platform.
The Outcome: This customization is 93 mm shorter than an equivalent, standard X-LSQ, and allowed Zaber to offer a longer travel linear stage in a length constrained environment.
