The UBC Thunderbots FC (Football Club) is an engineering student team that designs, prototypes, and builds autonomous soccer-playing robots, that are entered into robotics competitions worldwide, such as the International RoboCup Competition and Conference. Their aim is to create a unique, multi-disciplinary learning environment that fosters an interest in robotics through innovation, mentorship, and teamwork by providing hands-on technical and leadership experience for post-secondary students.
