A finer pitch lead screw will give higher resolution and increase thrust at the expense of lower maximum speed. For most applications a medium resolution (B pitch) is appropriate. For higher top speeds select a coarse resolution (D pitch) and for heavy loads or to prevent backdriving without power, select a fine resolution (A pitch).
