Motorized Linear Stage with Custom Stage Tops
This X-LSQ-E stage has a free-running second carriage not driven by the lead screw. The free-running carriage reduces cantilever load on the driven carriage. For example, if an object mounted to the driven carriage has long dimensions along the axis of motion, the second free-running carriage reduces the cantilever load.

Custom LSQ-T4A With Parallel Mounted Motor
The Challenge: Our customer required the performance and versatility of Zaber’s LSQ linear stages, but limited mounting space prevented them from fitting a standard unit with the necessary travel. The Solution: Zaber’s Custom Engineering team developed a solution that reduced the length of the LSQ by repositioning the motor to be beside the motion platform. The Outcome: This customization is 93 mm shorter than an equivalent, standard X-LSQ, and allowed Zaber to offer a longer travel linear stage in a length constrained environment. Zaber’s Technical Advantage: Our applications engineers team works closely with the custom engineering team, making solutions like this an efficient and highly tailored process. The LSQ with a parallel mounted motor retains all the established benefits of Zaber's LSQ ecosystem, including compatibility with external controllers (X-MCC), LSQ Gantry compatibility, and dust cover options.

Motorized Linear Stage with Custom Encoder Reader Cable
Zaber's controllers handle encoder feedback from motors directly, allowing automatic slip/stall detection and correction. Some applications include a second instrument that also uses the encoder signal. This X-LSQ-E linear stage demonstrates how an additional encoder output can be added to any stage with an encoder so that the signal can be shared.
