High Precision, Heavy Load Gantry System
The Zaber XY and XYZ LRT gantry is a high load multi-axis system modularly built from four LRT linear stages. The lower X-axis is driven by two stages electronically coupled with lockstep synchronization, and the system is coordinated with an X-MCC controller.

Custom XYZ Gantry System
This XYZ gantry system uses the LRQ-EC series linear stages with dust covers to create a compact and protected system. Two stages are used in parallel to provide a stiff base for the system; they use the lockstep synchronization feature of the X-MCB2 to move together and feature side mounted motors to reduce the depth of the system. A VSR40A-T3 stage is used in the vertical axis to give the system a clear platform. The system is customized with tracking for cable organization.
Custom XYZ Gantry
This system takes advantage of the two-axis controller's lockstep movement feature, which drives two parallel motors together to increase thrust and balance off-center loads. In this case, the system is attached to a configurable aluminum extrusion, allowing easy mounting in either a vertical or horizontal configuration.
Custom XYZ Gantry with Adaptor for an SBS Standard Multiwell Plate
This XYZ system is made of three linear stages mounted together with AB103B angle brackets. In addition, a custom-made adaptor holding a SBS standard (127.5 x 85 mm) multiwell plate is mounted to the Z-axis stage. The high resolution and repeatability offered by the system make it suitable for automating microscopy or pipetting applications. The stages can also be configured in different ways by removing a stage for an XY set-up, or changing the orientation and placement.
XYZ-Theta Custom Gantry with Grippers
This customized XYZ-Theta gantry with built-in controllers has a gripper mounted to the rotating axis. The addition of a slip ring between the rotary stage and grippers allows the X-GLP-E to rotate infinitely without tangling wires. Built-in motor encoders provide position verification and feedback for each device.
XY Gantry System
Large gantries with up to 1.5 meters of travel can be assembled using any combination of LRT linear stages. In this photo, two LRT-EC stages with built-in motor encoders make up the lower axes of this gantry, and they are driven using the two-axis X-MCB2 controller. With the lockstep synchronization feature of the X-MCB2, the two stages move in parallel to provide a stiff base for the system. An X-LRT-EC stage with a built-in controller and motor encoder is used for the upper axis. All Zaber's gantries are available with optional tracking for cable management.
