X-ADR-AE Series
Linear motor XY microscope stages with built-in controllers and linear encoders
About This Series
Zaber's X-ADR-AE series microscope stages are designed as replacements for manual stages on inverted microscopes or for stand-alone operation as scanning stages. Featuring non-contact linear motors and optical linear encoders, these stages offer a leap in performance over conventional screw-driven stages, making them suitable for demanding applications where speed, accuracy and reliability are of utmost importance.
Compact controllers are built directly into the stage, saving bench space and allowing the stages to be powered and controlled through a single flex rated cable. X-ADR-AE devices also include a digital input and two digital outputs for interfacing with external systems. An event-driven trigger system allows devices to be programmed for stand-alone operation based on I/O, time, or movement stimuli.
Mounting adaptors are available for breadboards and most common microscopes. Custom adaptors and plates are available upon request.

- Various adaptors allow mounting to most common microscope platforms and standard M6 breadboards.
- Linear motors are nearly silent, even at 750 mm/s maximum speed.
- One digital input and two digital outputs for interfacing with external systems.
- Servo tuning parameters can automatically be optimized for any payload mass with our free software. Parameters can be adjusted on the fly.
- Standard aperture sizes allow you to choose from many different inserts to suit your application. Select a model and click on the accessories tab for more information.
- Adjustable travel limits for space constrained applications.
- Low profile: 41 mm overall height.
- Integrated cable management system for clean and reliable cable routing.

Easy Set-Up
Reduce the number of cables to the stage with Zaber's X-PIB (power injection box):
- Connect data and power cables between computer, X-PIB, and stage.
- Power is injected to these stages via the X-PIB.
- Send instructions or automate your set-up using the Zaber Launcher.
