LSM-E Series
Miniature motorized linear stages with built-in motor encoders
About This Series
Zaber's LSM-E Series devices are computer-controlled, motorized linear stages with high thrust and speed capabilities and a very compact size. They are designed to interface with our X-MCC Series universal motor controllers, offering high resolution daisy-chainable operation. Set up is easy with AutoDetect. Once connected, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the LSM-E.
The built-in motor encoder allows closed-loop operation and slip/stall recovery features. At only 21 mm high, these miniature stages are excellent for applications where a small profile is required. The LSM-E's innovative design allows speeds up to 104 mm/s and loads up to 25 kg. The stages can be mounted in XY and XYZ configurations with no additional hardware.

- Built-in motor encoder encoder allows for easy slip/stall detection and recovery.
- 200 step per revolution stepper motor, microstepped up to 256x to provide smooth and precise motion.
- Hall effect home sensor integrated into the stage.
- Stage top supports M3 and M6 threaded holes with M4 centre mount and can be removed for lower XY profile.
- 0.024" and 0.096" pitch lead screws with anti-backlash nuts allow the smallest incremental moves and faster motion.
- Travel lengths from 25 to 200 mm, with custom lengths available.
- Only 21 mm high and designed to fit into the smallest spaces.
- LSM-E stages can be assembled in XY or XYZ configuration without additional hardware.
- DB15 male, inline connector with AutoDetect allows the LSM-E to be easily connected to an X-MCC Series controller and ready to use without additional user input.
Easy Set-Up
With AutoDetect, the X-MCC controller will automatically detect and configure the peripheral. Zaber's devices can share both data and power through a daisy-chain, which reduces cabling and makes set-up as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Connect the X-MCC controller to your computer.
- Connect the controller to the peripheral and plug in the power supply.
- Send instructions or automate your set-up using the Zaber Launcher.
