Parallel grippers with motor encoders
About This Series
Zaber's GLP-E grippers are able to grip and measure parts up to 40 mm in size. The GLP-E automatically detects when a part is held and maintains grip even if power is lost. The gripping force can be changed by altering the settings on the controller. With the X-MCB1 controller, Zaber's intuitive software makes it easy to control the speed and position of the unit, change the device settings, and write custom scripts. For LabVIEW users, we offer a free LabVIEW certified driver. For a detailed list of available commands, see the X-MCB1 User's Manual.
- Gripper fingers precisely located with 3 mm dowels and M3 screws. AG130 finger blanks included (not shown}, custom machined fingers available.
- 200 step per revolution stepper motor with encoder to detect when object is gripped and measure its size.
- Mounts directly to LSQ or RSW stages.
- Panel mount DB15 allows the GLP-E to be easily connected to our X-Series controllers.
Easy Set-Up
Zaber's devices can share both data and power through a daisy-chain, which reduces cabling and makes set-up as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Connect the controller to your computer via USB or RS-232 port.
- Connect the controller to the peripheral and plug in the power supply.
- Send instructions or automate your set-up using the Zaber Launcher.
