Communications

The {{{Device}}} supports multiple simultaneous communication interfaces. The device will respond to commands on the communication interface which originally sent the message. It will always send alert messages on all available communication interfaces. When multiple communication interfaces are available, only one interface at a time can communicate with daisy-chained devices connected to the RS-232 Next port. Other communication interfaces may also be used to communicate with the device, but their commands will not be forwarded over the Next port. By default, a fixed priority order is used to determine which communication interface may communicate with daisy-chained devices. Alternatively, a specific communication interface may be selected with the comm.next.owner setting.

  1. USB

Daisy Chaining

Daisy Chaining is supported from USB to RS-232 Next and RS-232 Prev to RS-232 Next.
