UBC Unmanned Aircraft Systems
The UBC Unmanned Aircraft Systems team is a multidisciplinary group of students that design and build vehicles for the annual Unmanned Systems Canada Student Competition. The team strives to be on the cutting edge of unmanned aviation technologies in order to succeed in the ever changing competition. As part of the project, the students developed a base-station to track and keep continual communication with the drones. Zaber Technologies provided an A-MCB2 Series controller to provide robust control for the stepper motors with an easy to use API to drive the pan and tilt mechanisms of the base station.
