Our DMQ family of voice coil linear stages are direct drive stages based on voice coil technology. A voice coil stage is the ideal choice for short travel, light load applications requiring high precision, high speed, and/or high frequency. The DMQ voice coil stage is capable of up to 1400 mm/s speed, and up to 25 Hz over full travel of 12 mm, with 4 µm accuracy and < 0.5 µm repeatability. At only 30 mm high, these miniature voice coil stages are excellent for low profile applications. The built-in linear encoder with 200 nm resolution allows closed-loop servo control of position and velocity. This voice coil stage also comes with a built-in controller, including one digital input and two digital outputs. It is shipped pre-tuned, while still allowing easy access to settings for users to fine-tune the servo control to their application. The DMQ voice coil stage has a very flat force-vs-position profile, a minimal moving mass for high acceleration, and no exposed moving cables.
